Local attention is public infrastructure.

Our mission

Blacksburg Times is an independent source for clear, useful reporting across Blacksburg and Virginia Tech. Town and campus shape each other every day; our coverage treats them as one connected community.

Standards

We distinguish reporting, analysis, opinion, and sponsored material. We verify claims, link to primary records whenever possible, and attach corrections to the stories they change.
